FAQ

Questions guests often ask

What is Mandi?

Mandi is Yemen’s most famous dish: lamb or chicken slow-cooked in a tannour (an underground pit oven) over fragrant spiced rice. The smoke and the long cooking make the meat extremely tender.

Yes. All of our lamb, chicken and beef is 100% halal and delivered fresh.

Walk-ins are always welcome. For weekends, groups of 6 or more, or a private majlis room, we recommend booking a table in advance.

Yes. Try our vegetable Saltah, Shafoot with yogurt, fresh salads, beans (foul) and our breads and sweets.

For events under 50 guests, 3 days is usually enough. For weddings and larger events, please contact us at least 2 weeks ahead.

Yemeni food is aromatic rather than hot. Spicy zahawek (green chili sauce) is served on the side, so you control the heat.
